Peter Cupples, the former lead singer of Australian soul band Stylus, is bringing his contemporary sound to RedFest.
Cupples first came to fame in Australia in the 1970s when Stylus produced the hit songs Summer Breeze and World of Make Believe.
The group later became the first all-white band signed to the US Motown label.
By the 1980s, Stylus had disbanded and Cupples formed the Peter Cupples Band with a number of other Australian musicians.
The band recorded two albums, combining the genres of rock, pop, ballad, reggae, soul and funk.
After the recording, Cupples branched out and recorded a solo album.
During this time, he began appearing regularly on the television programs Hey Hey It’s Saturday, The Midday Show and Good Morning Australia. He recently teamed up with Australian entertainer Jon English for the TV program Uncorked.
