Australia’s hottest tap dance sensation are warming up to present RedFest fans with a combination of explosive rhythms, pure comical genius, acrobatics and good old fashion fun as part of RedFest.
On Friday night, 4th September, RedFest will experience a “Date with Destiny” as Mental as Anything brings their “FundaMental” talent to the RedFest Strawberry Tent. They have travelled the world “Too Many Times” since their humble beginnings at East Sydney Technical College in 1977.
Music and festival enthusiasts are encouraged to purchase their RedFest tickets online now to take advantage of the early bird specials. “The ticket prices are very affordable,” said Karen Williams, Festival Director. “We want to make the Festival accessible to everyone even in a tough economy. Ticket sales are off to a promising start and I encourage everyone to get them now to avoid the rush and to take advantage of the early bird savings.”
One of the defining traits of spring time in Redlands is the availability of luscious juicy strawberries at the Redland Spring Festival. Along with this seasonal attraction comes the tradition that involves the rigorous test of one’s digestive ability to graciously consume copious amounts of succulent strawberries and cream in record time. The RedFest Strawberry Eating championship will be held at RedFest on the September 5th and 6th 2009. The winner will become part of the 51year old history of the event and receive a trophy to adorn their collection. Not to mention a free feed of mouth-watering strawberries.
Elevated RedFest hilarity is what you can expect from these internationally famed comedians. John and Rusty aka The Scared Weird Little Guys burst on to the vibrant Melbourne comedy scene in a frenzy of harmony, hilarity and broken guitar strings in July 1990. Since then the Scaredies have been consistently touring, recording, doing radio and television appearances and playing at Festival programs, comedy clubs and public humiliations.
